Thanks to the Office of West Virginia State Treasurer Riley Moore for helping JCS middle school students Get a Life! Throughout the week, eighth-graders participated in the interactive, award-winning program to learn about financial literacy while having a little fun along the way. Congrats to Emilio Perez-Diggs on his win at the Regional Math Field Day competition on March 14! He will now advance to the state competition at WVU on April 23. Way to go, Emilio!
A NOTE TO OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILIES: Due to the inclement weather forecasted for this weekend, the Regional Social Studies Fair has been postponed until next Saturday, March 19. The location and time will remain the same.
Spring Pictures are Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9. Families should order online or bring money in the day of pictures.

This week (February 7-11) has been National School Counseling Week, a time to recognize and honor the crucial work performed by school guidance counselors. Shoutout to all JCS counselors for offering our students unconditional guidance, support, and stability all day, every day. We appreciate you!
Jan. 28, 2022: Due to inclement weather anticipated for this evening, ALL after school activities are cancelled for Jefferson County Schools.
Kona Ice will be at CTMS on 1/28 with their mini "Kona Truck" during learning skills classes. Purchase your Kona for $5.00. Presales will be honored from last week, however, they will not be taking additional presale orders for the 1/28 event.

UPDATE Jan. 20, 2022: After careful reevaluation by our operations team, weather conditions show that temperatures continue to fall alongside precipitation, creating unsafe road conditions during our travel times. Therefore, all Jefferson County Schools and offices will be CLOSED today. We want to thank our essential personnel as they continue working to ensure our schools will be ready to safely welcome students back on site.
Due to this week's inclement weather, this month's Kona Ice Day has been postponed. We hope to reschedule for next week- further details will follow once we are back in school. Any online preorders will be honored at our next Kona Ice event.
UPDATE: After a careful reevaluation of road conditions and consultation with the WV Department of Highways, all Jefferson County Schools and offices will regrettably be closed today, Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
