A special Congratulations goes out to Charles Town Middle School 7th Grader, Eddie Erfurt!

Per Susan Engle from the Berkeley County 4-H STEM Club Leaders:

“We are super proud to announce that 12 students, (1 of which will be advancing to Worlds!) members of the Berkeley County 4-H STEM Club-WalkerBots, will be advancing to 2 different International FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League Competitions. We had 19 students in total attending this event. Our 4 FIRST LEGO League teams all won awards!!

The LEGO Immersion Team Received the prestigious Rising All Star Award, which recognizes a new/young team that shows tremendous promise and potential, impressing the judges with their rapid progress, resilience through challenges, strong core values, and overall enthusiasm, signaling they are poised for future success in FLL. Team members: Eddie Erfurt (Charles Town Middle- pictured far left), Haseem Everett (Eagle Intermediate), JP Ward (Orchard View)

They are part of the FIRST Lego League competition. Students design, build, and code robots to complete challenges on a field for points. They also have to research a real-world problem and develop an innovative solution, which is presented to a panel of judges. These teams consist of hard-working and dedicated students who will represent the County and the State very well at the event, which is expected to welcome more than 50,000 participants and spectators from around the globe.”

Congratulations and Way to Go, Eddie!!
