Good afternoon and Happy New Year! A few reminders since we start second semester tomorrow, Jan. 3, 2022. If you are a Blue Ridge student, they are currently virtual. There is no James Rumsey for tomorrow because Berkeley County schools are still on winter break. Since it is the start of second semester, please be sure you report to the correct classes. Your classes are the same unless you had a semester course. Please remember if you have tested positive for COVID, you need to contact Nurse Mandy Sites to report your illness. Please do not attend school if you have any symptoms. We look forward to seeing all you tomorrow. Remember we are still wearing our masks. Go Cougars!

A student at Jefferson High School sustained an injury this morning that required emergency medical attention. Students and staff were sheltering in place to give the ambulance and EMS room to access the student and transport them to the hospital. The partnership with emergency responders is critical for maintaining student safety. We appreciate their support, the quick action of staff and administrators, and the patience of our students and families.

Congratulations to the Jefferson High School Cheerleaders! They are the class AAA 2021 Cheer State Championship Runner-Ups after the competition over the weekend!
