Blue Ridge Families, Today we experienced a "Hold Drill", which is students remaining in their classrooms and not transitioning in the halls. We went into this drill to deal with a medical emergency for a staff member. This happened in the Elementary building. The staff member is doing well. We appreciate your understanding.

Blue Ridge Families, We made it through week one. It has been an absolute pleasure meeting all of your children and watching them interact in their classrooms. To highlight a few classes from this week; Mrs. Chinnock's Kindergarten students learned about and practiced using pencils, crayons, markers and play doh. Ms. Hill's Kindergarteners painted with watercolors and made hats. Ms. Cooks' 1st grade class has been making friends and learning about expectations. They ended their week creating a handprint that goes along with the poem "The Kissing Hand". Mrs. Kaiser's 1st grade class worked on student options once they complete their work, and their favorite choice is to work with the STEM Bins. Mrs. Aaron's 2nd grade class read an interactive story named, "What Should Danny Do", and then worked through making positive choices for Danny. In Ms. Phillips art class students have been creating paper cell phone selfies with Apps. And the little ones in Mrs. Hayden's Pre-K worked on getting settled and use to school. All in all, it was a fabulous week full of learning, fun and laughter. We are looking forward to seeing your children on Monday.

Blue Ridge Families, We had a wonderful first day to the 2024-2025 school year. With only one transportation glitch and understanding it was the first day of school, all went well. Thank you to the parents of students this affected, as your patience and understanding was greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing your children tomorrow.

Blue Ridge Families, We are so excited to welcome your children to a new school year on Monday, August 19th. Our Meet and Greet this week went very well and I am delighted that I got to meet so many of you. Just a couple of reminders for Monday. If your child will be a car rider and you have not filled out the car rider form in the main office of the elementary building, please do so on Monday after you drop your child off. You will need your assigned number to be able to pick up your child otherwise, you will have to come in the building to show ID. Also, students are not allowed to carry a cell phone during the day. If your child brings their cell phone it will be collected and returned at the end of the day. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Looking forward to an amazing year full of learning and fun!
